Experiential Event Design in Las Vegas: Inside A Holiday Showcase

Some nights at StarBase feel less like events and more like living inside a shared memory. The Paddock Holiday Hoobie Whatty Auto Showcase was one of those rare experiences where community, creativity, generosity, and immersive storytelling all collided under one roof. Our friends at Social Exchange Group and And Studios captured the spirit of the evening beautifully, from the glowing holiday details to the meaningful impact created alongside incredible partners and sponsors. We’re excited to reshare their reflections on a night that reminded us what can happen when people gather with imagination, intention, and heart.

A Holiday Dream at StarBase: The Paddock Holiday Hoobie Whatty Auto Showcase

Stepping into StarBase 12 days before Christmas felt like walking into a holiday wonderland that knew just how to throw a party! From our vantage point at Social Exchange Group, it was one of those rare evenings where atmosphere, generosity, design, and community harmoniously aligned. Everything felt effortless! No forced vibes, no overproduction, just pure, intentional magic.

As guests arrived, the excitement kicked off right at the front door. StarBase’s bar staff greeted everyone with a playful twist: welcome bubbly poured from their iconic chrome moped, gleaming under twinkling lights. It was a delightful surprise that instantly broke the ice! Coats came off, glasses went up, and guests stepped inside our social cocktail hour enveloped by strong architectural lighting that cast a modern glow over the room. Oversized wrapped gifts by Fresh Wata lined the space, and a blend of traditional and LED Christmas trees filled the venue with warmth, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.

Near the entrance, one stunning vehicle commanded attention: a rare BMW Z8, one of only 291 ever made, courtesy of Sin City BMW. This marked the first time an automobile was featured in StarBase's newly remodeled live performance theater, adding understated prestige to the entryway and offering a moment of pause before the evening's vibrant energy unfolded.

Cocktail Hour: Whoville Meets Petrol Head

Cocktail hour was nothing short of spectacular! In a whimsical Whoville-meets-Las-Vegas atmosphere, Petrol Head completely stole the show. Guests savored their complimentary craft cocktails and beer, establishing a generous tone right from the start. Signature drinks flowed, including a festive Grinch-green concoction crafted with Jack Daniel’s, while Heineken kept the festive spirit alive. Live trumpet and saxophone performances by Fendi Sean and Al Boy Blue during cocktail hour added an elegance that lingered in conversations.

Coca-Cola ambassadors added extra cheer, handing out holiday stocking stuffers, while Amazon Key wove thoughtful touches into the decor. A striking wall of blue and white stockings behind the BMW Z8 invited guests to select one to take home, a sweet memento that carried the spirit of giving beyond the night.

A Journey Through StarBase

As cocktail hour wrapped up, Paddock Auto Club unveiled its next act. Guests were invited to explore the rest of the venue, where red and green lighting transformed the atmosphere. Icicle lights shimmered inside an igloo-themed pop-up, where Asset Appeal showcased a stunning Lamborghini, and Jjanga served up delicious sushi, creating a cozy cinematic escape. The icing on the cake (literally) came from Tous Les Jours, a French-Asian bakery, featuring delightful macarons and a delicious cake that added a sweet touch to the festive atmosphere.

In the back of the venue, Comisario Tequila hosted tastings while Rev’s N Riffs showcased a custom merch line. The Platinum Catering grazing table offered a beautifully curated spread, inviting guests to snack, sip, and connect nearby Cinlo Co’s permanent jewelry station. They shared some sparkle, allowing attendees to commit to a little bling while enjoying the evening. A playful nod to Whoville, Platinum Catering presented a Roast Beast feast after Petrol Head stole happy hour, adding warmth, humor, and heart to the night.

As luck would have it, it was also National Hot Cocoa Day! Rather than competing with cocktails, the cocoa made its grand entrance later, cozying up the atmosphere at the Space Age bar. Guests customized their cups with an array of fun toppings: marshmallows, whipped cream, festive sprinkles, candy cane spoons, and crushed Oreos. The Grinch, styled to perfection by Skin City, enthusiastically mingled while Cindy Lou Who and a pink candy cane character floated through the crowd, creating delightful, photo-worthy moments. Festive sweaters adorned the room, and we totally basked in the shared expression of seasonal joy.

Das Erbe Collective made sure the Space Age room became the heart of the evening’s purpose. Six stunning vehicles surrounded a massive toy collection installation set against a snowy winter backdrop projected on the wall. This immersive display, enhanced by Bluff, turned generosity into a powerful visual moment as guests brought unwrapped toys to donate, contributing to a growing collection throughout the night. Findlay INEOS Grenadier dealership showcased a pristine Grenadier that even the Grinch couldn’t resist climbing on top of for some fun photo ops, adding to the playful atmosphere. The combination of glowing cars, falling snow imagery, and stacks of gifts created a scene that truly stopped people in their tracks. And of course, sounds flowed seamlessly through the evening. DJ Copay spun classic Christmas tunes, evoking nostalgia without being predictable.

Community and Impact

As the night drew to a close, a shared sentiment filled the air. This wasn’t just a holiday party; it was a beautiful reflection of what happens when partners like Paddock Auto Club, Bluff, Wrap Star NV, Supercar Experience, and others come together with purpose. Some sponsors were present in spirit, and their support was felt in every thoughtful detail.

At the core of it all was impact. By the night’s end, Das Erbe proudly presented a $70,000 donation to the DREAM Foundation, grounding the entire experience and reminding everyone why this gathering mattered far beyond the glitz and glam.

Walking out of StarBase that night, cocoa cups empty and hearts full, we knew we had been part of something truly special. From our perspective at Social Exchange Group, the Paddock Holiday Hoobie Whatty Auto Showcase was by far one of the best holiday parties we’ve ever experienced: magical, meaningful, and exactly what the season should feel like!
